Cross border
India to United States trade exhibitions and missions.
Nessora runs cross-border exhibition programmes between India and the United States, covering stand build to US show regulations, B-1 visa documentation, customs and FDA considerations, and a diary of pre-qualified American buyers.
- Delegation size
- 10 to 60 exhibitors
- Lead time
- 7 to 12 months
- Sample route
- ATA Carnet, plus FDA where applicable
- Both directions
- India ⇄ USA

Both directions
We run this corridor each way.
India to United States
For Indian exporters, export councils and state trade bodies reaching American buyers.
- The largest single addressable market in most categories, and one where a single national distributor or a big-box listing can transform a business in one year.
- American buyers move faster than European ones on first orders and slower on compliance. Both need planning for.
- Trade shows carry more commercial weight in the US than almost anywhere else: for many sectors the annual show is where the year's buying decisions are made.
United States to India
For American brands and producers seeking Indian distribution, agents or channel partners.
- US brands entering India often over-index on metros and under-invest in the distribution depth that actually moves volume.
- Indian import duty and the resulting shelf price are the first thing to model, not the last.
- Joint ventures and licensing are frequently a better first structure than direct import, and that is a relationship search rather than a logistics one.

Sectors with the strongest pull
Where American demand is deepest
- IT & technology services
- Pharmaceuticals & life sciences
- Textiles & apparel
- Food & beverage
- Engineering & manufacturing
These are where we see the shortest route to a first order. They are not a restriction: the delegation and pavilion work is sector-agnostic, and what we test is whether a real buyer base exists for your category in United States.
Also going the other way?
Delegations into India work from New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad, on an Indian e-Business Visa or Business Visa.
The paperwork
Visas and customs for United States.
B-1 business visitor visa
Indian delegates need a B-1 visa, and interview appointment waits at Indian consulates are the single largest scheduling risk on any US programme. We start visa documentation first, not last, and we plan the delegation around confirmed appointments rather than hoped-for ones.
Samples, freight and customs
ATA Carnet is accepted for exhibition samples. Beyond customs, category regulators matter: FDA for food, beverages, cosmetics and medical devices, FCC for electronics, and state-level requirements that can differ from federal ones. These are settled before freight moves.
We are not immigration advisers or customs brokers. We prepare and coordinate the documentation, work with licensed brokers at both ends, and own the schedule, including enough slack for one thing to go wrong without the stand standing empty.
How it runs
Brief to report, one lead.
- 01
Brief
We take the objective before the format. What has to be true after this event that is not true now: a listing, a distributor, a launch date met, a room that renews next year.
- 02
Proposal
A written scope with a costed budget, a venue or show shortlist, a date-by-date plan and a clear statement of what sits with us and what stays with you.
- 03
Build
Contracting, design, production, permissions and paperwork. You get one project lead and a single schedule, not four suppliers with different versions of the truth.
- 04
Delivery
Our crew is on site from install to derig. Whatever happens on the day is ours to solve; you should be talking to guests, buyers and press.
- 05
Report
Numbers and outcomes against the original objective, plus the assets, the lead list and an honest note on what we would change next time.
Questions
India to United States, answered.
Why do India to USA trade missions need a longer lead time?
B-1 visa interview appointments. Waits at Indian consulates have run to many months, and a delegation is only as fast as its slowest delegate. We treat visa documentation as the first workstream rather than an administrative afterthought, which is why we quote seven to twelve months rather than the five to nine a UK programme takes.
Do Indian exhibitors need FDA registration for a US food show?
If food, beverage, dietary supplements, cosmetics or medical devices are involved, FDA requirements apply to the product and often to the facility, and prior notice rules apply to the shipment. Sampling on a stand is not a loophole. We identify what applies during scoping and coordinate with the specialists who file it.
Which US trade shows are worth an Indian exporter's budget?
In many US categories the annual show is genuinely where the year's buying happens, which makes the shortlist shorter than people expect: CES for technology, the Fancy Food Shows for specialty food, MAGIC for apparel, PACK EXPO for packaging machinery. We check the published visitor profile against your buyer before recommending any of them.
